About
A National Natural Landmark known for its old-growth forest, Caledon is a summer haven for American bald eagles along the Potomac River. The park's six primitive campsites at Jones Pond are reached only by kayak, canoe, or a three-mile hike or bike ride from the visitor center - no vehicles allowed. Each site has a sand-filled tent pad, fire ring, and picnic table, but no water, electricity, or showers, making this a true backcountry experience close to Fredericksburg.
Fees
