About
Smallwood State Park, on Mattawoman Creek near the Potomac River, is the boyhood home site of General William Smallwood. All 18 campsites (16 suitable for RVs and tents, 2 tent-only) have BOTH electric and water hookups, per the park's own page ("Each site includes electric and water hookups"). Rustic and modern cabins are also available, separate from the campsite total above. Reservable through the Maryland Park Service's own ReserveAmerica/Aspira contract, hosted at parkreservations.maryland.gov (not a reserveamerica.com subdomain, though it runs the same underlying platform - confirmed live, "Powered by Aspira").
