About
Kruger Campground and Management Unit is adjacent to the Zumbro River State Water Trail. The campsites are considered primitive, designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. Each has a cleared area, fire ring, and table. Vault toilets and drinking water are available.
Kruger Campground and Management Unit is open year-round, but the forest roads are not plowed in the winter. Fee information can be found at the campground kiosk. Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. (this includes no generator use). Please be considerate of others around you.
Trails at Kruger allow a variety of nonmotorized uses including hiking, skiing, horseback riding and snowshoeing.
A horse trailer unloading and parking area are located in the southwestern corner of the unit. No horse camping is allowed in the campground.
Horseback riding trails are open May 1 - November 1.
There are picnic tables and a picnic shelter available in the day-use area. The day-use area closes at 10:00 p.m.
