About
This secluded, rustic campground sits on the banks of the Two Hearted River. The Two Hearted River is a champion salmon and steelhead river, making this campground a popular destination for anglers in the fall and spring. The Two Hearted River is also a popular river for kayakers and canoers, and a carry-in launch area is accessible from the campground. There are seven sites for tent and small trailer use.
The campground is located 29 miles north of Newberry via M-123 and County Roads 500, 407 and 410.
7 rustic campsites, $20 a night. Closed November 30 to May 1. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Tahquamenon Falls State Park (906-492-3415).
