About
This rustic campground is on the shore of Perch Lake and offers great opportunities for fishing and paddlesports. There are 32 sites for tent, small trailer and large trailer use. Site #12 and #14 are walk-up sites, suitable only for tents.
Kayaks and canoes can be launched from the boat launch on the south side of the campground or via stairs located centrally within the campground. Additionally, a boating access site with a skid pier is accessible from County Road 410 or through the campground's main entrance off County Road 407.
The operation of an ORV and snowmobile between the campground and nearby trails is allowed. The Pine Ridge Trail is 1.5 miles south and Two Heart Trail is 7 miles northeast via county roads.
The campground is located 23 miles northwest of Newberry via M-123 and County Road 407.
32 rustic campsites, $20 a night. Open all year; the road may not be plowed in winter. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Muskallonge Lake State Park (906-658-3338).
