About
This rustic campground, a favorite among anglers, lies along the Two Hearted River and offers six tent and small trailer sites. While the river is a prime attraction, access from the campground is challenging due to steep banks and strong currents. Caution is advised for both anglers and paddlers entering the water.
The operation of an ORV and snowmobile between the campground and nearby trails is allowed, including Pine Ridge and Two Heart trails.
The campground is located 22 miles north of Newberry via M-123 and County Road 407.
6 rustic campsites, $20 a night. Open all year; the road may not be plowed in winter. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Muskallonge Lake State Park (906-658-3338).
