About
This rustic campground is on the northwest side of Pike Lake. Pike Lake is a 292-acre lake providing optimal fishing opportunities for pike, walleye and largemouth bass. This quaint campground frames Pike Lake, wrapping around its shoreline and making water access for kayaks and canoes directly available from most campsites. There is also a boat launch within the campground suitable for small watercraft. There are eight sites for tent and small trailer use.
The campground is located 28 miles northeast of Newberry via M-123 and County Roads 500 and 414.
8 rustic campsites, $20 a night. Closed November 30 to May 1. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Tahquamenon Falls State Park (906-492-3415).
