About

This secluded, rustic campground is located on the northwest side of Bodi Lake. The lake offers great opportunities for walleye and pike fishing. There is a boat launch on the north side of the lake for small watercrafts, kayaks and canoes. The Bodi Lake Pathway can be accessed directly from the campground and is a 1.25-mile hike through the forest and along the lakeshore. Additionally, the national North Country Trail is nearby and can be accessed at Culhane Lake state forest campground.

There are 12 sites for tent and small trailer use. The campground is located 31 miles northeast of Newberry via M-123 and County Roads 500 and 437.

12 rustic campsites, $20 a night. Closed November 30 to May 1. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Tahquamenon Falls State Park (906-492-3415).
