About
New Germany State Park, within Savage River State Forest near Grantsville, centers on a small mill-pond lake with swimming and cross-country skiing. Site numbering spans the White Oak Loop (sites #1-20, #34-39, open year-round with a heated bathhouse) and the seasonal Pines Loop, but no single clean total-site figure is published on the park's own page. Only ONE site (#34) has an electric hookup, per the park's own page - a genuinely small electric tier for this state. Glamping sites and cabins are separate lodging, not included in the campsite total above. Shares an administrative "Headquarters Lane" address with the Savage River State Forest complex, as New Germany sits within that forest. Reservable through the Maryland Park Service's own ReserveAmerica/Aspira contract, hosted at parkreservations.maryland.gov (not a reserveamerica.com subdomain, though it runs the same underlying platform - confirmed live, "Powered by Aspira").
Fees
Campsite Non-Electric $18.50-$22.50/night, Campsite Electric $27.50-$28.50/night. Displayed rates are the vendor's own published BASE rates and do NOT reflect holiday/weekend/residency surcharges or a pet fee (Maryland applies these as add-ons rather than publishing a separate resident/non-resident base rate the way some other states do). The White Oak camping loop is pet-friendly (not confirmed for the Pines Loop).
