Polk County Conservation 175-acre wooded park with oak-hickory woodland, mushrooms, wildflowers, and wildlife, named after the area's first European settler (1844). Camping, hiking, fishing, and picnicking along Camp Creek. 24 electric sites plus 1 cabin. Pressurized water, dump station, restrooms, shower facilities, picnic tables, fire rings, firewood available. On-site resident host. Summer hours (April-October) 6:30am-10:30pm; winter (November-March) sunrise to sunset.
