About

On the shore of Squanga Lake. One of the few Yukon lakes where Squanga Pygmy Whitefish live. The Tagish and Tlingit names, Desgwąąge Méné and Dasgwaranga Áayî*, mean "Whitefish Lake." Watch quietly at dusk to see Little Brown Bats leave the bat house to hunt mosquitoes. Keep an eye out for a pair of Osprey who nest nearby and dive for fish in the lake.

On the Alaska Highway at kilometre 1316. 16 campsites, 4 of them pull-through. All campsites are first come, first served.

Fees

$20 CAD per night paid in cash at the campground, or $18 with a nightly camping voucher or a reservation; fees apply May 1 to September 30
