About
Pine Lake is one of the six road-accessible campgrounds with reservable campsites. Popular campground and day-use area close to Haines Junction. Has an excellent view of the Kluane and St. Elias Mountains. Southern Tutchone name Tsí Män means “red ochre lake,” after the red rock on Paint Mountain. Sandy beach has an unsupervised swimming platform. Lakeside boardwalk and footpath to Pine Creek (Tsí Chuaa). Great birdwatching. Access to the day-use area and boat launch remains open and ploughed during the winter. Ski trails and an ice rink are often maintained by local volunteers.
On the Alaska Highway at kilometre 1572. 43 campsites, 7 of them pull-through. Half of the campsites can be reserved on Yukon Parks' reservation service; the rest are first come, first served.
This popular campground is often full on weekends.

$20 CAD per night paid in cash at the campground, or $18 with a nightly camping voucher or a reservation; fees apply May 1 to September 30
