About
Just 20 miles from Richmond, Pocahontas is one of Virginia's largest state parks, with more than 90 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, an aquatic center, and several small lakes including Swift Creek Lake. The large campground offers electric-and-water sites plus grouped sites for bigger parties, and cabins, a lodge, yurts, and camping cabins add more overnight choices (not counted in the total above). Two historic group camps built by the Civilian Conservation Corps host retreats and events.
