About
Just across the James River from historic Jamestown, Chippokes is one of the oldest continuously farmed properties in the country, blending working-farm history with modern camping. One loop offers shadier sites for tents and pop-ups plus a dedicated group tent area, while the other has longer, more open sites that fit RVs up to 50 feet; cabins and yurts are also on site, not counted in the total above. Beyond the campground, visitors can tour the antebellum mansion grounds, stroll formal gardens, and visit the farm and forestry museum.
