About
This rustic campground is situated along the Lake Michigan shoreline in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. With 42 sites for tents and small trailers, many offer direct access to the water. While a portion of the shoreline is rocky, the eastern side of the campground boasts a fantastic sandy beach accessible from the picnic area. Day-use visitors will find convenient parking adjacent to the picnic area, which includes tables, a fire ring and a charcoal grill.
The campground is located 7.7 miles east of Naubinway via US-2.
42 rustic campsites, $20 a night. Open all year; the road may not be plowed in winter. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Straits State Park (906-643-8620).
