About

This rustic campground is ideal for those seeking a quiet retreat. The campground is shaded by upland hardwood forest and is situated on Gene's Pond, a lake offering paddling and fishing opportunities. There is a large parking area near the boat launch for vehicles and boat trailers.

There are 14 sites for tent, small trailer and large trailer use. This is a "carry-in, carry-out" unit. Trash barrels are not provided. Please help keep the campground clean and take camping refuse to dumpsters located at the Gwinn Field Office. The campground is located 6.5 miles northwest of Felch via County Road 581 and County Road 422.

14 rustic campsites, $20 a night. Open all year; the road may not be plowed in winter. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Escanaba Field Office (906-786-2351).
