About

Nestled on the shores of Carney Lake, this rustic campground provides 16 tent and small trailer sites. Enjoy hiking, wildlife viewing, fishing, boating and direct access to ORV trails via a designated ORV road.

The campground is located 14 miles northeast of Iron Mountain via M-95 North and Carney Lake Road.

16 rustic campsites, $20 a night. Closed November 1 to May 1. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Bewabic State Park (906-875-3324).
