About
Nestled among rolling hills and hardwood forests, this rustic equestrian campground offers direct access to over 100 miles of multi-use trails, accommodating both motorized and nonmotorized activities. With eight spacious sites for tents and trailers of all sizes, and direct access to the Black Mountain Pathway, it's ideal for individual riders and groups.

The campground is located 13 miles north of Onaway via M-211 N and Black Mountain Road.
8 equestrian campsites, $20 a night. Closed November 1 to May 1. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Cheboygan State Park (231-627-2811).
