About

Rangeley Lake State Park, in Maine's Western Mountains lake district, offers well-spaced campsites among spruce and fir on Rangeley Lake. Its own current campground map (Rev. 04/25/2025) shows 50 real numbered campsites (independently cross-confirmed by Mount Blue State Park's own "Nearby Attractions" text, which separately states "50 campsites"), of which 3 (sites 8, 22, 24) carry electric & water hookups, per the park's own campground map. Three of the wooded sites double as group campsites (tent camping only, up to 35 campers each). Open seasonally, May 1 to October 15.

Fees

An additional $5 per site, per night is charged for reservations, and a 9% Maine Lodging Tax applies to all camping fees. Maine residents 65 and older receive free day-use admission (camping fees still apply). Statewide season: online reservations open February 2026 for the 2026 season and run through 9/12/2026; after 9/14/2026 remaining sites become first-come/first-served for the rest of each park's own season. Pets are allowed at this campground under Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands' statewide policy ("Outdoors in Maine" visitor guide): leashed pets under the handler's physical control, not left unattended, waste picked up immediately; pets are not allowed on any Maine State Park beach April 1 - September 30.
