About
Umbagog Lake State Park, on the New Hampshire-Maine border near Errol, combines a developed base campground with dozens of boat-access-only remote sites scattered along the shoreline of Lake Umbagog, a designated wildlife refuge known for loons and nesting bald eagles. The base campground has about 17 standard sites with electric (15/30/50-amp) and water hookups; the other 45 sites - remote, tent, and lean-to - are boat-access only with no hookups. Separate rental cabins are also available. Showers and a dump station are on site at the base campground. Pets are allowed on leash, except in the cabins and at certain remote sites. Canoe and kayak rentals are available with advance notice.
