About

Mount Blue State Park, Maine's largest state park (~8,000 acres), spans two sections separated by Webb Lake near Weld: the Center Hill day-use/nature-center area (no camping) and the Webb Beach campground. Note: some general park maps and locator tools point to Center Hill rather than the actual campground - the campground itself is at 187 Webb Beach Road. It has 136 numbered campsites (matching the park's own live detail page, "136 wooded sites" exactly) a short walk from a sandy beach on Webb Lake. Electric & water hookup sites are confirmed to exist (via the statewide fee schedule's higher Mount Blue hookup rate), but the exact per-site count isn't available and is left null rather than guessed. A dedicated group camping/field site area and a nature center with hands-on exhibits are also on site; the adjoining ~10,000-acre Tumbledown Public Land allows no camping of its own (day-hiking only).

Fees

Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands statewide camping fee schedule (maine.gov/dacf/parks/camping/reservations/campground_fees.shtml), per night, shown as Maine Resident / Non-Resident (an asterisk marks parks with a higher rate for sites with a water & electric hookup, shown second): Aroostook $15/$25 (hookup $25/$35); Bradbury Mountain $15/$25; Camden Hills $25/$35 (hookup $35/$45); Cobscook Bay $20/$30; Lake St. George $20/$30; Lamoine $20/$30; Lily Bay $20/$30; Mount Blue $20/$30 (hookup $30/$40); Peaks-Kenny $20/$30 (hookup $30/$40); Rangeley Lake $20/$30 (hookup $30/$40); Sebago Lake $25/$35 (hookup $35/$45); Warren Island $15/$25. An additional $5 per site, per night is charged for reservations, and a 9% Maine Lodging Tax applies to all camping fees. Maine residents 65 and older receive free day-use admission (camping fees still apply). Statewide season: online reservations open February 2026 for the 2026 season and run through 9/12/2026; after 9/14/2026 remaining sites become first-come/first-served for the rest of each park's own season. Pets are allowed at this campground under Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands' statewide policy ("Outdoors in Maine" visitor guide): leashed pets under the handler's physical control, not left unattended, waste picked up immediately; pets are not allowed on any Maine State Park beach April 1 - September 30.
