Excellent fishing and wildlife viewing is what you can expect while staying at Brereton Lake campground in Whiteshell Provincial Park. In fact, turtles can be seen along the shoreline near the portage to Mud Turtle Lake. This campground provides basic or electrical sites. After the kids have finished having fun on the play structure or in the water, relieve their hunger with blueberries from the area. For a change of pace, visit the Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary at Rennie for a leisurely stroll.
In the campground: basketball, boat launch, fishing (license required), horseshoe, interpretive programs, kiosk, modern washrooms, picnic areas, picnic shelter (cooking shelter), pit privies, playground (across from the beach), swimming (unsupervised beach), volleyball, and water taps.
Elsewhere in the park: biking (TransCanada Trail), boating, canoeing, church, convenience store (Brereton Lake Resort), dump station, firewood (available for purchase at Brereton Lake Resort), gas station, gift shop, hiking (Amisk Trail), laundry (Bererton Lake Resort), restaurant, tennis, and video store.

Directions: From Winnipeg: travel northeast on P.T.H. 59, east on P.T.H. 44, drive through Rennie and turn left on P.R. 307. Brereton Lake is 10 kilometres from the P.R. 307 turn-off and is approximately 130 kilometres from Winnipeg.
