Sacramento Municipal Utility District park on Rancho Seco Lake south of Sacramento, a 160-acre no-gas-motor lake with a swimming beach, boat launch, fishing and trails, in the shadow of the decommissioned power plant's cooling towers. 21 RV sites with water and electric hookups and 32 tent sites (53 in all); showers, restrooms, laundry and a dump station. Dogs allowed for a $5 fee. Open year-round; reservations through Campspot.
