About
Village of Barton's beach and campground on Crystal Lake, on the outskirts of the village, a quieter and more secluded option than nearby Crystal Lake State Park. The village says fifteen campsites: 15 RV sites, each with full hookups, its own sewer connection and an electric meter, plus tent camping (the site map numbers sites 1-16, with site 9 tent-only). Sites are rented by the night or for the season; seasonal sites run from the Friday before Memorial Day to the Wednesday after Labor Day (May 22 to September 9 in 2026) and need a $400 deposit with the application at the Village Office, 17 Village Square. Bathhouse, sheltered picnic area and pavilion, picnic tables, grills and fire rings, swimming beach with no lifeguard, fishing, nature trail, horseshoes, volleyball and a dump station. Canoes, kayaks and paddleboards may be launched; motorized boats use the state fishing access. No alcohol, no glass at the beach. Pets on a leash and under control, and leave no trace of them. Two vehicles per site, no commercial vehicles or boat trailers in the park. Gate opens 8 am, visitors leave by 9 pm, quiet 10 pm to 7 am. Book through the Village Office at 802-525-4747; there is no online booking.
Fees
2026: pop-ups and small campers $50 per night for up to four people; tent-only sites $35 per night for up to four; $5 per extra person, six people maximum per site. Seasonal site $2,400 with water and sewer; electricity metered separately with a $100 meter deposit. Day use free for Barton Village residents, $5 for nonresidents aged 6 and up.
