About
Town of Eden's recreation area and campground on the northwest shore of Lake Eden, off Vermont Route 100 between Hyde Park and Lowell. Seventeen RV sites, each with electricity, water and sewer: sites 1-8 on the lower level and 9-17 on the upper level (site 18 is the beach manager's). Most RV sites go to seasonal campers chosen by lottery each fall and spring; lots 1 and 2, and any seasonal site left unrented, are sold by the night or week. Eight tent sites, five of them along the water's edge. Beach house with bathrooms and changing rooms, a swimming beach (water tested weekly), playground, two rentable pavilions, picnic tables and grills, boat access, and snacks and drinks at the beach house. Registered campers use the day-use area free. Pets are allowed at campsites and in designated walking and swimming areas with proof of current rabies vaccination, but not on the beach, playground or picnic areas. Eight people, two vehicles and 14 consecutive nights maximum per site; check-in 2 pm, check-out 11 am; quiet 10 pm to 7 am; fires in rings and grills only. Book tent sites, overnight RV sites and shelters by phone or email with a 25 percent deposit; cash, check or online payment. Camping runs from Memorial Day weekend to October 1, sometimes extended to October 15.
