Coopers Rock State Forest is famous for its overlook above the Cheat River Gorge, with rock-climbing crags and more than 50 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails near Morgantown. The McCollum loop has 48 electric sites and the Rhododendron loop has 25 tent/hammock-only non-electric sites, both served by a bathhouse. The campground is open April through November, weather permitting.
