About
Swallow Falls State Park, home to Maryland's tallest waterfall (Muddy Creek Falls, 53 ft) and old-growth hemlock/pine forest along the Youghiogheny River, offers 65 wooded campsites: 3 full hookup (electric/water/sewer) sites (40, 42, 42A) and a further electric+water group the park's own text calls "2 sites" but names 3 site numbers (19, 21, 23) - the park's own published text is inconsistent here, so all 6 named sites are counted as both electric and water above. 3 camper cabins are separate lodging, not included in the campsite total above. Reservable through the Maryland Park Service's own ReserveAmerica/Aspira contract, hosted at parkreservations.maryland.gov (not a reserveamerica.com subdomain, though it runs the same underlying platform - confirmed live, "Powered by Aspira").
Fees
Campsite Non-Electric $21.50-$22.50/night, Campsite Electric $27.50-$28.50/night, Campsite Electric/Water/Sewer (full hookup) $32.50-$33.50/night. Displayed rates are the vendor's own published BASE rates and do NOT reflect holiday/weekend/residency surcharges or a pet fee (Maryland applies these as add-ons rather than publishing a separate resident/non-resident base rate the way some other states do). Pets permitted on leash, not permitted in the day-use area or on trails between the Saturday before Memorial Day and Labor Day.
