Chief Logan State Park covers rolling mountain terrain near the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System, a popular base for ATV riders alongside hikers and campers. The campground has 25 full-hookup sites (electric, water, and sewer), each with a fire ring and trash can, plus restroom and shower facilities; a conference center, lodge, and cabins are also on site, not counted in the total above. The campground is open spring through summer, weather permitting.
Fees
Nightly site fees at this campground are currently $39.99 per the state park reservation system (book.wvstateparks.com). Dogs and cats are allowed in West Virginia State Parks and Forests campgrounds on a leash and must be kept restrained, per the statewide rules and regulations (wvstateparks.com/rules-and-regulations); no per-pet fee is stated. Reservations canceled 60 or more days before arrival may receive a deposit refund; cancellations made 7-60 days before arrival receive a credit toward a future stay; cancellations within 7 days of arrival are not refundable.
