About
The Turtle-Flambeau Scenic Waters Area is a 14,000-acre wilderness flowage near Mercer, prized for muskie and walleye fishing amid a maze of islands and undeveloped shoreline. All 66 campsites - 58 family and 8 group, for 7 to 15 people each - are boat-access only, with open-air pit toilets; campers bring their own drinking water or use hand pumps at Springstead or Murray's Landings.
Fees
Wisconsin DNR statewide camping system: a vehicle admission sticker is required at every state park or forest entrance, including for registered campers - $28/year for Wisconsin residents ($13/year age 65+) or $50/year for non-residents, or $13/day resident / $16/day non-resident. Nightly campsite rates vary by electricity, amenities, location, site type, day of week and season, and are shown when you select a specific site during booking; non-resident campers pay a flat $15/night surcharge on top of the site's own rate. A $9.30 reservation fee applies per booking, plus a $10 cancellation fee or $6 change fee if plans change. Pets are allowed at this campground on a leash no longer than 8 feet at all times, per Wisconsin State Park System's statewide pet policy; owners must clean up and properly dispose of pet waste.
