About
Sky Meadows State Park offers sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from rolling pastures that were once a working farm. Camping here is entirely primitive and hike-in, reached on foot or by bike rather than by car, with individual, paired, and group tent sites tucked into the landscape - there are no cabins or drive-to campsites. The park also has more than 20 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails, plus direct access to the Appalachian Trail.
Fees

Dump station use is free for overnight campers ($10/visit for day visitors); non-camper shower access is $5/person. Pets are allowed at this campground at no additional charge, on a leash no longer than 6 feet and kept under control at all times, per Virginia State Parks' statewide camping pet policy; current rabies vaccination is strongly recommended.
