About
This popular site is located in a fairly open environment due to extensive removal of mountain pine beetle trees. The site offers camping for 4 parties and good access to Sabai Lake. The basic amenities of tables, fire rings and pit toilets are provided. This site receives heavy use throughout the summer and is especially popular for fall hunting camps. Anglers may be able to catch wild rainbow trout, but the lake is not currently stocked.
Road access. Maintained to Recreation Sites and Trails BC standards by a partner or contractor. Facilities on file: boat launch, toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, parking. First come, first served.
Getting there: From the Mackenzie Junction, head south for about 3km and turn onto the Finlay North (Pack) FSR. Continue for about 10 km, and turn left onto the Sabai Mainline just past the bridge over the Pack River. Proceed for about 3.5 km and the entrance to the site is located on the left side of the road. The site is easily accessible by 2WD vehicles, and a loop road would allow access for larger trailers.
