About

Near an old mill site along the southern shore of Uncha Lake is a nine unit, semi-open, forested campground. There is a nice beach for swimming and a gravel boat launch. This is a popular area for hunting and fishing. There are several species of fish available in Uncha Lake for anglers.

Road access. Maintained to Recreation Sites and Trails BC standards by a partner or contractor. Facilities on file: boat launch, toilets, picnic tables. First come, first served.

Getting there: From Hwy 16 in Burns Lake, take Hwy 35 south and take the ferry across Francois Lake (be sure to check schedules for Francois Lake ferry). Arrive in Southbank, take an immediate left off Keefe's Landing Road onto Uncha Lake Road. Keep heading east from Southbank, following Uncha Lake Road for 11.8 km. Turn right onto Campbell road for 4.7 km, turning left onto the Binta Road. Travel East on Binta Road for 7.9 km to reach site.
