About
Goose Lake State Recreation Area on the Oregon-California border is an Oregon State Park with 45 campsites (39 electrical/water, 6 tent). OPRD's own page calls reservations 'unnecessary' due to the park's remote location and lists it first-come-only, though a ReserveAmerica facility with matching site-type counts also exists, so reservations may be possible despite the park's own guidance - confirm before you go.
Fees
Oregon State Parks does not publish one single statewide rate card; per its own FAQ (rates effective May 1, 2026): top rate at the 29 busiest parks is $29/night for tent sites and $52/night for full-hookup RV sites (May 1-Sep 30); cabins/yurts range $72-$129/night; overnight parking, overflow and primitive camping is at least $15/night; hiker/biker sites are $7-$10/person/night. A $10 extra-vehicle fee may apply; a $10 RV dump-station fee applies at select parks (free for registered campers who are current on lodging); non-camper showers are $5 at select parks. Pets must be physically restrained (held, held by the collar, or on a leash no longer than 6 feet), per Oregon State Parks' statewide pet policy - some trails within parks may prohibit pets entirely (source: stateparks.oregon.gov FAQ).
