Located near Voyageurs National Park and the Kabetogama Visitor Center, this campground offers a swimming beach, hiking trail, and scenic picnic area on a pine-covered point on Lake Kabetogama. Each of the 61 campsites has a fire ring, picnic table, access to toilets, and seasonal drinking water.
Woodenfrog State Campground and Day-Use Area is beautiful and rustic with a great swimming beach, boat ramp, and an old CCC building used for interpretive talks regularly.
The day-use area is located on a pine-covered shoreline, can accommodate large groups, and offers quiet, private sites for smaller groups.
61 primitive campsites (59 drive-in), 2 of them accessible. First come, first served for individual sites; pay the camping fee online on the day you arrive, or at a state park ranger station. Managed from Bear Head Lake State Park (218-235-2520). In Kabetogama State Forest.
