About
Eckbeck Campground and Day Use Area is adjacent to the Baptism River, approximately three miles from Lake Superior and Tettegouche State Park. It offers a quieter alternative to the more developed and heavily used state parks along the North Shore.
The campground is considered "primitive," designed to meet only the camper's basic needs. Vault toilets, garbage cans and drinking water are available, and each campsite has a cleared area, a fire ring and a table.
31 primitive campsites, 2 of them accessible. First come, first served for individual sites; pay the camping fee online on the day you arrive, or at a state park ranger station. Managed from Tettegouche State Park (218-353-8800). In Finland State Forest.
