About

This rustic equestrian campground, located in a scenic hardwood forest, offers direct access to the Shore-to-Shore Trail. Nine trailer sites (small and large) and a group area (max 100 people) are available. A 3500-watt generator-powered water pump provides potable water.

This 420-mile trail Shore-to-Shore Trail system, spanning from Empire to Oscoda, welcomes hikers and equestrians alike, offering breathtaking scenery along its east-west route. Two additional spur trails extend north and south, further expanding exploration opportunities.

For those seeking a more localized equestrian adventure, the Stoney Creek Equestrian Trail provides three scenic loops.

The campground is located 12 miles east of Indian River via M-68, M-33 N and Stoney Creek Road.

9 equestrian campsites. Open all year; the road may not be plowed in winter. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Aloha State Park (231-625-0211).
