Grass Lake State Forest Campground is managed by Colfax Township. Located on Grass Lake Flooding, this 15-site campground is best suited for tent and small trailer use. The campground provides easy access to the Betsie River that provides opportunities for paddling, canoeing and fishing.

Grass Lake Flooding provides fishing opportunities for bass, perch and bluegill. Betsie River provides opportunities for trout. Turtle Lake (5 miles northwest) provides opportunities for bass, bluegill and perch.
15 rustic campsites, $20 a night. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Colfax Township (231-378-2144).
