About
This quaint, rustic campground sits along the peaceful shore of Deer Lake. The 81-acre lake provides excellent fishing opportunities and attracts native wildlife. There are 12 sites for tent and small trailer use. The campground is located 11 miles northeast of Amasa via Old US Highway 141 North, Corral Road and The Grade.
12 rustic campsites, $20 a night. The season depends on the weather; contact the manager before a shoulder-season trip. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Baraga State Park (906-353-6558).
