About
This rustic campground is located along the south branch of the Au Sable River. The campground offers excellent opportunities for paddle sports, hiking and fishing. The Mason Tract Pathway is accessible from the campground.
There are 41 sites for tent and small trailer use. There are four walk-in sites that require a short hike or can be accessed by canoe. The campground is located 14 miles southeast of Grayling via M-72 and Canoe Harbor Road.
45 rustic campsites, $20 a night. Open all year; the road may not be plowed in winter. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from North Higgins Lake State Park (989-821-6125).
