About

This equestrian-friendly campground features a spacious group camping area and is set amongst oaks and jack pines. The campground is often used by equestrians riding the Shore-to-Shore Trail. The trail stretches east-west from Empire to Oscoda with two additional northern and southern spur trails, and is located 9.2 miles southeast of Grayling via M-72 East, I-75 South and West 4 Mile Road.

The rustic campground accommodates tents and trailers with a maximum capacity of 200 individuals (approximately 50 wheeled vehicles).

This campground is maintained with the help of the Michigan Trail Riders Association

A group camp (equestrian - group); group rates apply. Open all year; the road may not be plowed in winter. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Hartwick Pines State Park (989-348-7068).
