About
This more secluded, rustic campground is nestled among hardwoods on Avery Lake. There are 16 sites for tent and small trailer use, 10 of which will accommodate a 40-foot long vehicle or trailer, and three walk-in, tent-only sites.
The campground is located 9 miles southwest of Atlanta via County Road 487 and Avery Lake Road.

16 rustic campsites, $20 a night. Closed December 1 to April 15. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Clear Lake State Park (989-785-4388).
