Lundar Beach Campground

Lundar, on the migrating route of many birds, is known as a breeding area for Canada Geese. Other birds, like songbirds, pelicans, and a variety of ducks also call this area home. It is no wonder that bird watching is so great here, since habitat like natural marshland and beautiful Lake Manitoba keep the birds coming back year after year. The Lundar Museum displays the distinctive character of the area with the treasures from the Canadian National Railway and pioneer eras, complemented by French and Icelandic cultures. Most of the electrical or basic campsites in this quiet, family-oriented campground are close to Lake Manitoba. The campground is close to hiking trails, swimming and boating opportunities.

In the campground: dump station, fishing (license required), hiking, kiosk, modern washrooms (near the campground office), pay showers, picnic area (near swimming area), picnic shelter, pit privies, playground, swimming (unsupervised beach, mobi mat available), and water taps.

Elsewhere in the park: boat launch (RM of Coldwell), boating and canoeing (Lake Manitoba), and firewood (available for purchase).

Includes 8 sites leased for the whole season.

Directions: From Winnipeg: travel on P.T.H. 6 to Lundar, approximately 100 kilometres. Turn left on P.R. 419, 18 kilometres to Lundar Beach.
