About

Renovation notice (as of September 2026): contractors begin work on the family campground on or shortly after September 29 - improved camping pads, electricity to each site, a comfort station and new water points. Part of the campground stays open at first, then the whole campground closes for the work, expected to finish in late 2026 or early 2027; call 812-827-2857 for the current status.

Primitive (Class C) campground of 57 sites, each with a picnic table and grill; vault toilets and seasonal drinking water. First come, first served; self-register at the campground check-in booth.

A swimming beach on Ferdinand Lake (Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, with restrooms, changing rooms and showers), rowboat and canoe rental, and a boat ramp for electric motors are in the same recreation area.
