About
US Forest Service campground. Pine Lake Campground is located on the shores of beautiful Pine Lake. The east side of the lake is mostly privately owned and has many cabins. The west side is federally owned and is swampy and has been occupied by bald eagles over the years. The beach off the picnic area is shallow for a long distance out and gravel bottomed, and is good for swimming. Open season: May 2 - September 8. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
