About

City of Washburn's open, sunny campground (Thompson's West End Park) with a beach on Lake Superior's Chequamegon Bay, paved access roads, a boat launch (fee) and shoreline fishing; easier for large RVs than Memorial Park. 50 campsites with electric service, of which 17 are seasonal sites, leaving 33 for nightly and weekly campers. Drinking water, flush toilets, pay showers, Wi-Fi and a dump station. First-come, first-served with a self-serve fee kiosk; no reservations; an overflow area is available when full. 2026 season April 15 to October 15, opening dependent on snow.
