About

City of Washburn campground under old-growth pines on a bluff above Lake Superior's Chequamegon Bay, with several sites overlooking the lake and ravines bridged by walking trails. 50 campsites with electric service, of which 14 are seasonal sites, leaving 36 for nightly and weekly campers. Drinking water, flush toilets, pay showers, Wi-Fi and a dump station. First-come, first-served with a self-serve fee kiosk; no reservations. Best for smaller RVs and tents because of the tight turns among the trees (16-foot clearance at the 6th Avenue East archway). 2026 season May 15 to October 15, opening dependent on snow.

Fees

Campsite $40 per night, lakeside premium $50; weekly $240/$300; dump station $10 for non-campers
