About

Santa Clara County's largest park, 10,000 acres of oak woodland and grassland on Mount Hamilton Road east of San Jose, with 52 miles of trails, fishing in Grant Lake and a historic ranch house. 37 tent sites in the Hall's Valley (19) and Snell (18) campgrounds, plus eight equestrian sites that require a horse and four group sites for 40 to 200 people. No RV sites (the road in is narrow and winding), though there is a dump station at the entrance kiosk. Drinking water, restrooms and showers. Parties of 17 or more must use a group site. Open year-round; reservations online.
