City-run campground with over a mile of frontage on Portage Lake (a 26-mile Lake Superior waterway). 72 campsites: 58 for RVs with electric power, 14 tent sites, in a natural rustic setting among hardwoods and softwoods. Restrooms, shower facilities, a boat ramp (fee for non-campground users), and 300ft of sand beach. Open May 15-October 15; free WiFi. 50-amp sites (#4, 48, 52-58): $35/day. Water service sites: separate rate. Waterfront sites (#47, 49-51): $35/day. Remaining regular sites: $28/day. Tent sites: $18/day.
