Emily Lake State Forest Campground

This rustic campground offers nine tent and small trailer sites shaded by conifers and hemlocks, with picturesque lake views of Emily Lake. Enjoy excellent paddling and fishing on the 54-acre lake. There's a boating access site in the campground. It's also located near the Bill Nicholls Trail, which provides 41 miles of trail open to a variety of recreational activities.

For visitors following a GPS route along M-38, the map may suggest Pike Lake Road as the shortest route; however, the road is primarily gravel. To avoid excessive travel on gravel roads, travel via highway from M-38 to M-26 to Emily Lake Road.

The campground is located 3.8 miles south of Twin Lake via M-26 South and Emily Lake Road.

9 rustic campsites, $20 a night. Closed October 31 to May 17. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Twin Lakes State Park (906-288-3321).
