About

Primitive paddle-in campsite on the Connecticut River Paddlers' Trail in Columbia, stewarded by the town's Conservation Commission and reached only by canoe or kayak. A quiet site at the edge of a hayfield with a picnic table and moldering privy; land at the small sign upstream of the meadow and follow the short trail in, and keep tents at the northern end of the meadow to protect the hay crop. No fees. No drinking water - bring, filter, or boil. Two nights maximum. The trail notes the site is not currently actively maintained and is looking for an adopter.
